¤1) Put time and energy into your presentation
(PowerPoint slides, prezi)
¤2) Be sure to practise your presentation.
¤3) Nerves are not a disaster. The audience expects you
to be nervous.
¤4) Cite your sources and reference material you used
at the end of your PowerPoint/ Prezipresentation.
¤5) Do not put too much text on one slide.
¤6) Font size: The larger, the
better. Remember your slides must be readable even at the back of the
classroom. Avoid unsightly colour combinations. There should be enough contrast between the colours chosen for the background and the text.
¤7) Convey your message as clearly as possible.
¤8) Engage and captivate your audience:
¤9) Ask questions/ interact with
your classmates/ make eye contact.
¤10) Use additional
examples, if you explain theoretical
approaches and definitions.
¤11) Visual aids can enhance your presentations such as maps, photos, and graphs. They can increase your audience's understanding of your topic.
¤12) Your presentation slides will be uploaded to our google drive folder. Please think of your fellow students. They are not only your listeners, but also your readers:
Make sure that all relevant information has been included in your slides.
Check whether everything is clear to your readers.
